The kind of content we need more of in 2026

"Your content needs to be useful"

Read that in a post somewhere.

They’re not wrong.

But last Saturday I woke up thinking “gotta write a post”.

Pulled up a few meeting transcripts in ChatGPT, prompted it to come up with hooks.

Felt lazy and uninspired. Didn’t like the output.

Forced myself to come up with hooks.

Didn’t like those either.

Then my 3-year-old daughter:

“Daddy I want to play together.”

Closed my laptop and we played a game.

Then we went out for a walk to get groceries. Grabbed coffee along the way.

Got home and had lunch, had a few laughs, and listened to John Mayer together. Kid painted for the first time and had a blast. Watched Finding Nemo together: her first Disney film.

Missus and I chatted about biz stuff. Opened a bottle of wine and made Spanish tapas.

Forgot about posting on a Saturday morning altogether.

I recently saw an interview with the actor from Better Call Saul.

He was asked:

“Who are you jealous of?”

Without hesitation he goes:

“Anybody who’s still got little kids at home growing up. There’s no question: I knew what I was doing when I had kids growing up. I was being a dad. I mean, that was my job, and I didn’t have to ask myself ‘What am I doing here? How can I be a part of this world? How can I be meaningful today?’”

It hit me to the core.

These “simple” days are magical to me.

They mean more to me than any business win. They mean more to me than a well-performing post.

Because I just know that there will be a day that I’m much older and think, “Have I done enough?”

Not around my business. Not around content. But being around my family.

There’s a place for useful posts.

And with all the generic AI content around, there’s definitely a place for personal stuff.

Heck, it can even be tactical if you want it to.

It can resonate with people you want to attract.

Simply because it makes them feel like human beings.

Because you value the same in life.

It's something I'll cover in my next cohort.

If you like to stay updated...

... get on the waitlist.

Cheers,

Nick

If you're like me, you're impulsive by nature. But when doubt creeps in? Then you lose your decisiveness. You see an opportunity – like a sales email or some kind of offer that looks like a no-brainer. And then you just freeze. You let the opportunity die. You wonder where that impulsiveness has gone. For me that was a $6k mastermind hosted by Greg Eisenberg in Florida. 50 like-minded people. One big Airbnb. 3 days. Been following the guy for years. But I just froze. I didn't act. Maybe it...

This isn't the first cohort email I've sent you. So let me skip the pitch. Here's what I know about you: You're posting. You're showing up. You're putting in the work. But somewhere along the way something got lost. The people who engage aren't the people who buy. Your profile looks fine but doesn't feel or looks like you. Your content performs okay but doesn't perform well. And you're starting to wonder if this is just how it works, or if you're missing something obvious. The trap most...

In 2018, we sold our agency for a bargain. It was a fair deal, but man it could’ve been much better. You see, we founded our agency while still in college. I was 23. My co-founder was only 18. And we knew absolutely nothing about: Positioning to target the right people Building visibility around our business Attracting clients vs. desperately chasing them It resulted in low goodwill when we received the offer. After that, I took a long break and worked on a few interim and freelance projects....
